My first spring in two years

I love spring. It is without a doubt, my favorite season.

There is no spring in Togo. Just hot season, rainy season and harmattan, which we can call dry season. After two years of that, I came to Louisville and trudged through the worst winter and most snow this fake Texan has ever seen. But I think it’s over.

Tulip tree

This is my favorite budding tree. I call it it a tulip tree. If you know a different name, enlighten me.

I’ve had poor results Google image-searching flowers in the past. If anyone knows names of any of the flowers above, comment.

Beautiful! That third photo is of crocuses (or croci).
And I call that the tulip tree, too.

That last tree is a magnolia, right? We had a big one in my yard growing up. Great for climbing.
